Paul Bishop is the Managing Director and Chief Inspiration Officer of Arts Evolution PTY Ltd.
Having spent 30 years working professionally as an ecological actor, presenter and performer, Paul founded Arts Evolution in 2004, as an ethical enterprise approach to many of the existing and emerging challenges facing the arts, the community, the non-profit sector and local small-medium enterprises as the global economy forces us into a ‘climate of change’.
As an actor, Paul has won many awards and nominations for 2 TV Week Logies, in over 250 episodes of ‘Blue Heelers’ for his role as Sgt. Ben Stewart (1998-2004). A member of Actors Equity since 1985, Paul has served on MEAA’s National Performers Committee (2004-2008) and as an Associate Artist with Queensland Theatre Company (2006-2008).
Lately Paul has worked as an observer, recorder, writer, advocate, teacher, investor, editor, designer, entrepreneur, community enabler, facilitator, councillor, producer, collaborator and innovator for change.
Arts Evolution is committed to fostering sustainable human futures.
The Red Place represents the first example of practical delivery of Arts Evolution as a business.
After a decade of design innovation, research, and whole systems strategy by Paul Bishop, The Red Place represents a rather unconventional approach to ‘business as usual’, because what we are offering is a ‘place for potential to be realised’… a ‘space for making change happen’… changes that will naturally evolve, as people artfully engage with ideas expressed by others at The Red Place: ‘a space to make things happen’.
Paul Bishop is currently serving as a local representative for Divison 10 Birkdale Thorneside in Redland City
